NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  VOID IN FLORIDA AND NEW YORK, US AND QUEBEC, CANADA AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

1.    Entry.  To enter, submit a photo or video of yourself showing your love of the “Need for Speed’ videogame, gaming, cars, motorsports, sweet 16 moments or whatever drives you by emailing us the photo or video link (the “Entry”) at HappySweet16NeedForSpeed@ea.com between September 14, 2009 at 11:59 a.m. and September 30, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. PST (the “Sweepstakes Period”). 

Alternately, you may enter by submitting your user name to HappySweet16NeedForSpeed@ea.com during the Sweepstakes Period.

No other methods of entry will be accepted.  Limit: Only 10 entries per username and email address will be accepted.  Completed entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on September 30, 2009.  Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.  Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, incorrect, or misdirected entries.  Use of a false email account will disqualify an entry.  Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, lost, late, illegible, misdirected, garbled, damaged or delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to website entries. The use of scripts or any automated system to enter is strictly prohibited. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the web site, or who otherwise violates these rules.  By entering, entrants accept and agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and Conditions.

*VIDEO OR PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Entrants’ submitted Entries must incorporate only the entrant’s own originally created artwork (“Original Creations”). Entries must pertain to the ”Need for Speed” video game, car culture, motorsports, sweet 16 moments or whatever drives you and must be submitted in mpg4, wmv, .jpg or pdf, file format following the Entry instructions above, sized no larger than 10 MB with a resolution of either 320x240 up to 1280x720 and attached within your email Entry. Videos must be 60 seconds or less.  Be sure to include the words, “Need For Speed Happy Sweet 16 Sweepstakes” in the email subject line. No group, or team efforts, or multi-author(ed) designs will be accepted in this Contest. For purposes of this Contest all Entries will be presumed authored by the person submitting the Entry. You may incorporate your own facial likeness, but not that of another person, within your video or photograph design. Entries submitted in this Contest must not contain any pornography, or other illicit content, and must be appropriate for audiences at least 19 years of age, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Submission of previously published art (other than the Sponsor-provided images) is prohibited. Any Entry that incorporates prohibited content, including but not limited to, third party creations (other than the Sponsor-provided images), trademarks, names, or other third party property(ies), or the work of creative consultants, , or the likenesses of any other real-life individuals, or any content that is pornographic, illicit, or otherwise not appropriate for audiences aged at least [19], or that otherwise in Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion violates the above Guidelines and/or is not in compliance with these Official Rules, will not be accepted for entry and will not be eligible to win any prize in this Contest.

2.  Eligibility.  This Sweepstakes is only open to residents of the United States (with the exception of residents of Florida and New York) and the District of Columbia, and Canada (with the exception of residents of Quebec) who are 19 years of age or older at time Sweepstakes begins and who had Internet access as of September 1, 2009.  Residents of Florida and New York, US and Quebec, Canada are not eligible. Employees of Electronic Arts Inc. (“Sponsor”), and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies and the immediate families of each are not eligible.  Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, restricted or taxed by law.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

3.  Prizes; Winner Selection and Notification.  There are eight (8) Winners.

8 Winners will each receive a VIP package to the Formula Drift Championships in Irwindale CA (October 16-17, 2009). 

Odds of winning any prize depend upon the number of eligible entries in the Sweepstakes.

Each VIP package includes: a trip for one (1) person (Winner) to the Formula Drift Championships in Irwindale CA. Trip includes roundtrip, economy/coach class airfare for 1 person (Winner) from the major commercial airport nearest the winner’s residence; hotel accommodations for 4 days / 3 nights (one (1) double occupancy room) at the the Westin Hotel in Pasadena, CA; transportation to and from Airport, and to the Formula Drift Championships, meals and VIP package to the event..  Incidentals, including, without limitation: telephone calls, facsimile charges, Internet charges, Spa/beauty salon services, laundry, tours/excursions, gift shop purchases, hotel processing fees and airline service charges, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.  Hotel and airfare cannot be used separately.  Winner must notify Sponsor of intended dates of travel by no later than 1 week prior to the intended date of departure.  All travel must be completed by October 18, 2009 or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety.  Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and certain restrictions, so Sponsor cannot guarantee prize trip will be available on the exact dates specified by Winner.  Any extra nights’ stay and any additional costs associated with an extended stay are the sole responsibility of the Winner.  Additional restrictions may apply.

The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Prize package is $1500.00 USD.  Actual value of Prize Trip may vary depending on Winner’s residence and seasonal rates.

Odds of winning any prize depend upon the number of eligible entries in the Sweepstakes.

Prizes are not transferable.  No substitution of Prizes for cash or other goods and services is permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right to provide a substitute Prize of approximately equal value.  All expenses not specified above, including, without limitation, all federal, state and local taxes, and international tariffs, are the sole responsibility of the individual winners.

Winners will be determined by random drawing on or about October 2, 2009 from all eligible Entries received.  The drawing will be conducted at EAC 4330 Sanderson Way, Burnaby B.C. V5G 4X1, by Sponsor or its designee, the judge of the Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding.

Winners will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and, except where prohibited, Liability/Publicity Release, in the form provided by Sponsor, within 5 days of attempted notification in order to claim Prize.  Canadian winners must also answer a skill-based question in order to claim Prize.  Winners will be notified on or about OCTOBER 5, 2009 by an email sent to the email address specified on the entry email submission.  If winner cannot be contacted at this email address, is contacted and does not respond as directed within 2 days of attempted notification, refuses the Prize or is ineligible to accept the Prize,  Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.  All prizes claimed in accordance with the Official Rules will be awarded.   Winners may be required to provide a shipping address to claim prize.  Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of prize.

4.  General Conditions. Electronic Arts Inc. and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies are not in any way responsible or liable for damages, loss or injury resulting from entrants’ participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, shipping and handling, loss, use or mis-use of any prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes.  Entrants and Winners assume sole liability for injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, shipping and handling, loss, use or mis-use of any prize awarded.  Sponsor has the right to cancel, terminate or modify this Sweepstakes if it cannot be completed as planned due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other conditions beyond Sponsor's control, including, without limitation, insufficient volume of eligible entries, and to select winners from eligible entries received on or before the termination date  Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. 

By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree (i) that Sponsor may post their entries on Sponsor’s website and in any and all publicity and advertising for Electronic Arts, this Sweepstakes or other promotions by Sponsor without any further attribution, notification or compensation to entrants, and except if entrant is a resident of TN or otherwise where prohibited by law, has the right to use the entries along with entrant’s user or screen name and hometown therewith; (ii) to be bound by these Official Rules and decisions of the judges, and (iii) to be contacted by Sponsor or its agents by telephone, mail or email regarding this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and all claims must be resolved in the United States. If there is a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered.

5.  Winners list.  A winners list will be available at www.happysweet16NFS.com after all winners are determined and verified, and posted for approximately two weeks.
