| NFSKirk's faves from the Muscle Car Customization Competition - Part Two 01-07-2010 | Comments (8)
Yesterday, I posted a few of my favorite cars from the Muscle Car Customization Competition, which ended earlier this week with Hottrockin taking home the title.
Today, we have part two - or 'deux', if you've seen 'Hot Shots' - and we lead it off with the Sting Ray pictured above. What I really like about this car is how well the colors go with the wheels picked here.
It was also pretty ballsy to post a photo of the car whilst not even on the track. I can only wonder what this driver hit after SHIFT was unpaused.
I may catch a bit of heat for my praise of this rig, which may be best-described as a 'Skittlesmobile', but the amount of effort put into making this car look the way it does earns my respect and admiration, though I don't think I'd want to be racing behind this guy, those colors are distracting.
Anyone who is a frequent reader of this blog knows I have a soft spot for Mopar muscle cars, particularly the Dodge Charger, and this '69 R/T is no different.
A clean palette of colors matched with big chrome wheels makes this big boat a winner. I have a few other photos of this machine, and I can say with confidence that no detail was overlooked in its design.
The combination of black, red and white makes this car really 'pop' in my eyes, and the cool action shot makes it look even better.
If I had my druthers here, I'd add the 'R/T' stamping along the stripes.
This 'Vette was sent in by Hottrockin and deserves to be shown here simply for its bizarre 'gumball' design. It's.. very bright.
This is an outstanding photo. As I said on our Facebook page, I still have no idea how this guy was able to pop a wheelie like this, but it certainly makes this Sting Ray look boss.
Thanks once again to everyone for all your entries, you all did a fantastic job making these cars your own.
