The latest news about Need for Speed™ games
From virtual to reality at Willow Springs - courtesy of SHIFT

Four lucky fans - Troy, Justin, Jason and Kirby - of Need for Speed got the ultimate opportunity to drive on a real racetrack recently, and not with just any car, but the 2010 Ford Mustang GT.

First, they got to test the Shelby GT500 out in SHIFT to see how they fared on Willow Springs' Horse Thief Mile - a daunting task for even the most seasoned of NFS racers.

After that, it was time for a racing lesson from Fast Lane Driving School and a lap around Horse Thief Mile in the 2010 Mustang GT.

Troy was able to take both legs of the race with a total time of 2:17.89. Impressive, perhaps he should be looking for a professional ride next season.

This is why NFS needs to go global with its tracks, this would have been awesome for us Aussies at say Bathurst or Oran Park in any car!
Still, i'm jealous, looks like a heap of fun and yeah, the game tracks do look better, Horse Thief is one of my favs in the game and to see it in real life it looks like a desert, lol.

That is just awesome! The game times were wayyy faster, but then again you have some special aids to help ya out. I think the game looks better than real life hahaha
