SHIFT PC patch V1 update - D-Box Support added
Comments (5)

When we announced V1 of the PC patch a couple of weeks ago we said it was purely to include LAN play and improve Mouse Control. Imagine our surprise when the dev team told us the patch also include support for D-Box chairs.

For those of you who've never played a game using the D-Box it's pretty spectacular as the seat hooks into the game code and responds to how you're driving. If you're slamming it round a corner at full speed the seat will tilt into the corner too. They're very very cool and we're running a competition next month to win one!

Just to be clear; this is not a new patch, but an update to the first patch released last month. We are currently working on a second patch for PC and will have some info about the availability soon. You can find Patch V1 in the Downloads section.

Wow... good to know you guys are spending your time adding support for this fancy piece of hardware that hardly anybody uses while a huge portion of the community can't even play unless they like FPS in the teens.

Muppets.

I have to agree here, many people are posting in your forums with "REAL" issues and though the .01% of the people that play this game use this setup it wasn't worth posting this big hype about yet another marketing point. Lets get more info out to your users about the status of the next patch and stop beating the current users with more marketing points. I would hate to make this the very last EA driving game I purchase as you do not support the users after the first patch or two.

"Are you people kidding me, I expect to hear news on a new patch and you people attempt to regurgitate missing info from a lackluster patch which had an improper change-log to begin with and attempt to pawn it off as something exciting and new.

Shame on you guys, some people are beginning to lose their patience and decorum, if you didn't get it that means me and a bunch of other customers. Fix the darn issues so we can fully enjoy the game and stop with this crap blog update with inconsequential info."

Right on!
