A personal look at the world of Need for Speed from the team behind the games
A new car for JR - Mustang RTR

Need for Speed SHIFT drifting king Vaughn Gittin Jr. was at SEMA this week promoting his newest creation - and daily driver - the Ford Mustang RTR (Ready to Rock).

He was there promoting not only the standard RTR, which is available as an upgrade on Mustang GTs (with V6 coming in the future), but the RTR-C (pictured below), a limited-edition Mustang with a body made entirely of carbon fiber. More on the RTR-C later.

The RTR package, which will cost around $7,800 to install, includes Falken racing tires, Ford Racing air filter as well as shocks, and cross-drilled rotors, among other performance options.

RTR-C is an entirely different vehicle, but with only 10 being built at a cost of $135,000 each, you may have a tough time getting one.

Its body is made entirely of dry carbon, cutting up to 500 pounds off its curb weight, which allows its 550-horse engine to breathe easier, not that you'd have any trouble spinning the tires in one of JR's Mustangs anyway.
