Driver Profile

In 2010, Edward Sandstrom joined Team Need for Speed with teammate Patrick Soderlund in a brand new BMW Z4 GT3. He and Patrick Söderlund shared the driving duties in FIA GT3 and at the end of the season took their first win at Zolder. Schubert Motorsport ran the Team Need for Speed GT3 program along with select endurance events, including the Nurburgring 24HR where the team managed to bring home a fourth place finish.

The 2011 season began for Edward in Dubai where Team Need for Speed put in blistering times to win the 24HR race. Edward continues now with Team Need for Speed and Schubert Motorsport in an attack to take the crown in the FIA GT3 in a brand new BMW Z4 GT3. On the schedule is as well are the legendary Nurburgring 24HR and SPA 24HR endurance races.

Dubai 24h, BMW Z4 GT3 Team Need for Speed. 1st Place with Augusto Farfus, Claudia Hurtgen and Tommy Milner.

FIA GT3, BMW Z4 GT3 Team Need for Speed. 6th overall in championship. 1 win (Zolder).

Nurburgring 24h, BMW Z4 GT3 Team Need for Speed. 4th Place with Patrick Söderlund, Martin Öhlin and Marco Hartung and second in class.

Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. One win and three podiums in four races.
