One of the finest examples of Alfa Romeo’s engineering prowess, the Giulia Sprint GTA, which was built from 1965-69, was a street-legal race car, with only 500 cars built for homologation purposes. Race variants had aluminum outer bodies, plastic windows, magnesium alloy wheels, and thinner steel on the inner body panels to cut down on weight. As a result, the car was highly successful on the track.
