You Voted And The Car of the Day Is...

The Pagani Zonda Cinque won out yesterday against the Mercedes-Benz. It wasn't even that close =P I had the votes at 106-71. So here's your Car of the Day!

With revised bodywork from the last Zonda, the Cinque hardtop creates an additional 1,600 pounds of downforce while driving at 249 mph. It’s also capable of 1.45g’s of lateral acceleration. So the Zonda Cinque is pretty fast.

On to today's contest. Yesterday's "non-winner," the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will be taking on the Nissan GT-R SpecV (R35). Just like yesterday, we'll be counting votes on our Facebook Page. Simply write which car you'd like to see a little blurb about along with a killer screenshot :)

well, seeing as id rather become a communist than use facebook, ill stick to voting here.

on this vote, SLS VS GTR, ive got to say SLS, those gullwing doors, the immense History of motorsport behind the Mercedes benz Franchise, and the fact that EVERY SL is directly decended form the Legendary number 722,plus the fact the SLS, somehow, isn't as cold and germanic as most other german cars, it has a soul, it feels alive...

after this then the next COTD should be the 1993 Mclaren F-1, the signature car of the Orginal (pre underground) NFS franchise, the ultimate in performance car design with none of the handling compromises suffered by the Koennigsegg and the Veyron, and its STILL the Fastest NATURALLY ASPIRATED (non turbo or supercharged) Car in the World, a record it may just hold for the rest of eternity with the new focus on turbos and downsizing.

not sure why so many people are going nuts for the gtr though? Dont get me wrong, Godzilla is a great car, powerfull, fast, beuatifully made, stunningly agressive, and is as easy to drive and every bit as reliable as a micra, but its just too technological, its just a computer with a big engine attached, it lacks the sheer soul of say, a reventon or even the SLS AMG, or could it be because it offers Ferrari rivalling performance for a price thats actually just about acheivable to the average joe like us and represents a blue collar dream, like the old muscle cars..
