We have a new member in the Need for Speed Family! Help us welcome NFSPetra! In her new Community Coordinator role, you will be hearing, seeing and chatting lots with her on a daily basis! What better way to learn more about her than asking some informative (and a few awkward) questions?

[NFS] Tell us about yourself Petra.

[Petra] First off, I want to say a BIG hello to all the Need for Speed fans out there! I can’t wait to get to know you better on Facebook and Twitter. I’ve been a huge fan of Need for Speed since the Most Wanted days, so officially being on the NFS team is very special to me. I have followed NFSDrew for the past few years ... so working alongside him is pretty cool too!

Here is my life in 30s or less! I was born in Croatia and moved to beautiful Vancouver when I was 4 years old. I bought my first car when I was 12 years old and fixed it up with my dad. My very first job was in a racing-themed cafe and after a few years...I was managing it. Fast forward many years later, I graduated school and landed this sweet gig :)

[NFS] What are your favourite cars?

[Petra] That is an easy one but I do have a few. For exotics, I love the Ferrari F430 and Ferrari California. If we are talking American muscle, it has to be the Corvette ZR1 and the Shelby GT500. For Tuners I love the Nissan GT-R and the RX-8.

[NFS] What are your favourite game(s)?

[Petra] Duck Hunt...yes....Duck Hunt ;) In all seriousness, I love the old-school games as I have many great memories playing them with my brother and sister. My favourite racing game has to be Need for Speed Most Wanted ... getting those in-game texts from Mia definitely got me hooked on the franchise.

[NFS] Now, onto the tough questions. Vin Diesel or Jason Statham?

[Petra] Obviously ... Vin Vin. “You owe me a 10s car”... doesn’t get better than that ;)

[NFS] On that note...what is one of your favourite recent movies and why should you be cast as the lead actress?

[Petra] Just finished a Harry Potter marathon and watched all eight, back to back. I would use Polyjuice Potion and replace Hermione. I have a lot of similar traits including: loyalty, compassion, always looking to help others, and am always surrounded by great friends.

[NFS] When you’re not gaming or geeking out on the Need for Speed Facebook page, what are you up to?

[Petra] A girl’s gotta eat! I love food and I try different restaurants at least a few times a week. I watch 4-5 movies a week and am addicted to popcorn with dill pickle seasoning. I also love the outdoors and try to do as many activities outside as possible.

[NFS] What things are you looking most forward to in your new role?

[Petra] I have already been chatting with many of you and what is very apparent is that we have an extremely passionate community. I look forward to answering your questions, and getting news to you as soon as I can. Pretty cool position to be in if you ask me!
