Photo competitions, custom car reveals, smelling good and classic games, it’s just another week for Need for Speed.
First and foremost, if you haven’t checked out the Signature Edition Booster Pack we’re about to release for The Run. It features nine custom cars, and you can get it December 20th! So far we’ve unveiled Puppet and Fatlace, two gorgeous cars.
We kicked the week off with the final vote of the Pteranodon Photo Mode finalists. We had a huge amount of entries, and plenty of votes on two fantastic shots. Following that, we announced a new photo challenge where we want to see your best interpretations of The Run’s box art!
We also announced a Title Update for The Run, and you can see all of the info about it here.
To celebrate the holidays, Need for Speed launched the Fastest Days of the Year, where we showcase one gift idea, trailer or classic game per day as we lead up to Christmas.
We kicked it off by bringing back the incredible Lamborghini vs. Pagani trailer. If you haven’t seen it yet, stop reading this right now and go watch it. Seriously. We’ll wait.
For the next Fastest Day of the Year, Need for Speed put the stunning Meister timepiece on display, a Pro Street sale, and the epic SHIFT trailer.
Also, if you’re a fan of cars and smelling good, you’ll love the Old Spice Mercedes SLS AMG, which you can find out about here.
In The Run, Autolog is implemented with more depth than ever, and this week we detailed the Profile and Stats feature of it.
Team Need for Speed put out a killer video of Chris Rado tackling Buttonwillow. It’s definitely worth watching!
Need for Speed World had an enormous week! They showed the first ever Need for Speed Interactive trailer, where you decide what happens. Continuing the Winter Wonderland theme, they held a Spot the Devs event, introduced the Mazda MX-5, Boss 302 Mustang, and one other incredible supercar.
The Koenigsegg CCX makes it entrance into World, and instantly becomes one of the fastest cars in the game.
On a sadder note, this week’s Podcast is NFSGreg’s last. Certainly the funniest of the crew, we will now have to find ways to be humorous on our own. Things could get ugly, so we’ll probably just end up prank calling him. Without further ado, here is this week’s podcast. The episode is now up on iTunes, our RSS feed.
