SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED™ Launch Date Announced

Today, Need for Speed is very excited to announce that SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED™ races onto retail shelves in Europe on March 24 & 25 and North America on March 29. If you want to ensure your place on the starting grid you can pre-order SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED Limited Edition and get exclusive access to three very cool, very fast cars and 40 unique career events.  The cars included in the Limited Edition are the Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero (S15), the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, and my personal favorite, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640.

I have only played the demo for Shift 1 and all I can say about the second one is that I hope the visual damage effects are better. I don't know if they are better in the full game than the demo. I was thinking of getting the full version but with the next one coming out soon I will wait for the next one. The damage effects on Codemasters Grid is awesome. I hope the damage looks as good as that does.

I really want this to deliver as promised. I brought forza 3 as the hype promised a good game but it was crap in comparison with Shift. I now have GT5 which is ok but i need the upgade options NFS is famous for. In GT5 yes you can have a thousand cars in your garage but 3/4 of them are standard cars and you can't even change the wheels on them. I am really looking forward to shift 2 i just hope they don't change to much as NFS Shift was near on perfect, maybe just add a few more cars to tune and add bits to :). Keep up the good work EA.

PS NFS Hot Pursuit was to much a carbon copy of Burnout Paradise.

My all time fav NFS's are 1 The original Need for Speed first released on the 3DO.
