Lately we've been talking a lot about driving in SHIFT; track guides, how to drift and the Driving 101 blogs. I thought it would be cool if I shared my own personal top five cars with you guys.

Before I get into the cars I wanted to tell you a bit about how I got the tuning set up for these cars.  The guys over at NFSUNLIMITEd.NET have set up a tuning page where you can look up or submit tuning set up for specific cars. That's where I found the setups for a couple of my fastest cars.  Definitely worth checking out.  Big thanks to Bojan and the guys over at NFSUnlimited for setting up the tuning page.

So now that you know where to find the best set up for your cars here are my top five cars:

1. "Minty Fresh"
Make & Model: Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
BHP: 631.0
Torque: 631.0
0-60: 3.1
0-100: 6.6
60-0: 3.1
Top Speed reached: 211.3 MPH

By far my favorite car to drive! The Murciélago with the Works conversion is ridiculously fast and has killer acceleration. I love it so much that I wrote an entire blog about it, you can read it here.

2. Pagani Zonda R
BHP: 750.0
Torque: 750.0
0-60: 2.4
0-100: 5.0
60-0: 2.5
Top Speed reached: 218.1 MPH

This car, with its tuning set up, is probably the fastest car in the game. The only negative I can say about it is that it's a bit difficult to drive. It's rear wheel drive so if you put too much throttle down around corners you'll usually end up spinning out.  Furthermore, it doesn't do so well when you're trading paint with opponents. But it is ridiculously fast and super fun to drive if you're good enough to drive it properly. Here is the tuning set up for this 20.50 rated beast.

3. Nissan GT-R V-Spec (R35)
BHP: 543.6
Torque: 543.6
0-60: 3.1
0-100: 6.9
60-0: 3.0
Top Speed reached: 194.6 MPH

This is a handy car to keep in you keep in your garage because it's the fastest under 14.00 rated car in the game.  However, it has to be tuned just right for it to stay under a 14.00 rating.  You can find the tuning set up for it here.

This car is super fast and has pretty good handling. I really enjoy driving this car and it's definitely good to have this in your garage.

 

 

 

4. Audi RS 4
BHP: 420.0
Torque: 420.0
0-60: 4.6
0-100: 10.8
60-0: 3.3
Top Speed reached: 185.5 MPH

The Audi RS4 is a great starting car and, in fact, it's the second car I bought in my career. Although it's not the best car in the game, it is an excellent car for competing in tier 1 and 2 career races and some of the tier 3 races.

My Audi has all the performance upgrades you can get for it and it's only rated at 14.00. What it does do really well is help you learn how to drive in the game so you can move onto more powerful cars. It's a great car to have but once you progress enough in career to unlock some higher rated I suggest you move on.

 

 

5. Toyota Supra Mark IV

60-0: 4.0
Top Speed reached: 152.1 MPH

The Supra is a recent edition to SHIFT as part of the free Team Racing Pack downloadable expansion pack. Actually, it's one of the most popular cars in Need for Speed's history.

I really like the Supra as a drift car. As a race car it's alright but it shines in drift mode. It's pretty easy to handle while drifting even when it's fully upgraded.

One of the other reasons I like this car is because it's super cool looking. I like to play around with it in visual customization and in the end I settled for a nice clean looking car.
