The second day at PAX was a good one! First off, let me tell you a little bit about how people are receiving NFS Shift. We've had tons of people come through over the last two days; not everyone who came were Need for Speed fans. After sitting down and playing the game for a bit, the majority of the people left very impressed with the game and most of those people are really excited to for it to drop on September 15th (17th in Europe). From what I saw and how people played the game, I think that everyone was impressed by three things. One, the game's graphics...and really, how could you not be with a game that looks like that. Second, people really enjoyed the way the cars handled in the game. Most people were able to pick up the game and race fairly well on their first try. Lastly, people were blown away by the cockpit view. Absolutely loved the playing the game in that view and almost everyone got so immersed in the race that they almost forgot to ask me questions about the game.
It's pretty cool to come to a consumer show like PAX and show off NFS Shift.
Today I took some time and ventured out to check out the rest of PAX. Lots of very cool things to see but the line up were super long! Because the line up were so long I wasn't able to play any of the games that I wanted to play but I did get to watch people play them for a while. I also walked around for a bit and took a bunch of pictures so rather than continue to talk I'll just show you some pictures:
