NFSCars Need For Speed World Contest #1

Earlier this week we let you know about the World-Garage "Rate My Ride" competition.  We're very happy to announce that another Need for Speed community site, NFSCars, is also hosting a competition so if you want to show everyone you're the best racer now's your chance!

The Official NFSCars Need For Speed World contest #1 has just started, you can read the rules, requirements and sample picture here.

"NFSCars is holding a "Welcome to Palmont" Race, where the lowest time takes the cup.

The rules are simple. Use a Tier 1 stock car, no Nos, no performance upgrades, no slingshots, and no cheating. Race "Welcome to Palmont" in any game mode, and submit your screenshot to the Contest thread found here. The contest ends on September 15th at 2400 PST.

The winner will be announced within the next few days after."

Can anyone tell me how to purchase cars in NFS World. Tier 2 cars are unlocked and i have money too but i can't purchase any car...

Keep racing and build up your funds, remember the better cars are only available after Level 10, Tier 3 are most expensive. Only way to buy is with cash won at races, MP pay the best. SP takes time as cash awards are fixed. BE SURE TO CHECK EVERY LEVEL OF EVERY CAR.. THERE ARE DIFFERENT MODEL STYLES OF THE SAME CARS, THAT ARE CHEAPER IN MOST CASES. Go looking for something you can afford and upgrade in shop.

Then come looking for me out there in the world, we'll race.

Press 'H' ingame, click 'Car Dealer', then 'Purchase cars'. You will see the rental (Boost) versions of the cars first. Change the style/color of the car to see the normal versions with ingame cash.

this contest has a obvious flaw... only people with starter pack would win provided a good effort is made. it should have been limited by player level as well. players with high levels like myself will most likely have the Need For Speed, Dragster, Nerves of Steel at 3/3 giving them a 20% boost overall. That person is likely to choose the best Tier1 car also. And it's about lap-time so most likely the person with Catch Up skill will also have a even greater advantage as they strategically remain behind to use this extra performance. The official site mentions no use of any power-ups so this also includes no One More Lap, nulling the Strong Finisher skill as well.

And screenshots can be photoshopped. They will most likely want a video as well, and verifying the stats with NeedForSpeed team who can see how many power ups was used, the times, the car and other informations about your races.
