NFS World August 31st Maintenance Window & Release Notes

Servers are back online.  Thanks for your patience.

Purpose:
The purpose of this maintenance window is to deploy the latest patch / update to the Need for Speed World game and servers.

Duration:
Two (2) Hours

Start: 20:00 hrs (8:00 PM) PDT
End: 22:00 hrs (10:00 PM) PDT

Affected Users:
During the maintenance window, the servers will be offline and users will not able to log in and play Need for Speed World. Players who are already logged in and playing NFS World will be diconnected from the server and therefore, disconnected from the game.

Release Notes:
- Fixed an issue causing loss of mouse functionality after exiting Meeting Place.
- Timer should now display correctly when engaged in a pursuit for over an hour
- Improved vinyl appearance on various cars after applying Performance packages
- Made improvements to prevent micro-pauses that certain players were encountering during multiplayer events
- HUD should no longer shift off-screen after completing an event at certain resolutions
- Career Statistics screen should now be more accurate when comparing two Drivers
- General stability improvements

Pursuits are working again!!!

I have found some stupid bug in the chatbox. When I'm typing the word "head" it's censored :D ( **** )
Another thing to fix is a chat invitation that popped out on the middle of the screen when racing :o

Just hit Enter, although it will make you join the chat group...it's better than trying to fiddle with the mouse to reject it.

The rage comes from knowing that EA is so massive and has so large a profit margin that when they do rookie errors like this, its like watching a professional football team take the field and they all forgot to put on pants.

its pretty basic stuff to check your work before you turn it in. every job ive ever done (and ive done a few much harder then sitting in an aircondtioned office typing away at a keyboard entering code) you double check what you did to be sure its correct. it seems the folks at EA dont have that ethos at their work place.

Many of us Paid to be a beta tester, thats hard to deal with to in the first place. but no one forced us to pay.
But it does make us wonder what they spent our money on..

and just an extra 2c worth, the stupid bug with the AI cars turning INTO oncoming players has been present since MOST WANTED was released, what is their excuse for over looking that? i mean this is the 4th title to use this game engine.. Its not like noone told them about it.. hell id prefer the ones from NFSUG2 that just stayed in their own lane and made no attempt at all.

When i race it seems i lose more because of suicidal traffic then anyone im actually racing hitting me.

And now my wish list

GHOST MODE BETWEEN PLAYERS... so we can have a mode thats straight up racing without all the grade school bumper cars. just an optional mode, that way everyone can race the way they like.

We gotta thank the Dev team for their work...yy the game has some bugs till now...and after the maintenance cops are drinking coffe instead of chasing us but they will fix it soon..so les do some races and w8 for the cops to enjoy their coffee.. cya all ingame.
