NFS Weekly YouTube Challenge – Week 1 Winners!

Wow. There were 19 video responses, or entries, if you will, into the inaugural week of our YouTube weekly challenge series! I won’t lie, that blew my expectations out of the water! I thought that we’d be lucky to see 5-10 entries in the first week, so I want to thank everyone who participated!

From my perspective, it was great to see the best lap time fall quite drastically at the beginning (I now fully realize how horrible my beginning time was), but it was even cooler to see the best lap time creep downwards as the weekend approached. It meant that you guys were really putting in some effort to tune up and tweak your cars to get the most out of them. The result was a time that broke the 1:20.000 barrier, which I wasn’t sure could be done as I left the office Friday evening. The first winner, DreamExecutions, came in with a ridiculous time of 1:19.720. You can find his video below!

The second winner, TheMix939, got the most views. He managed to get 560 views, which is amazing! There were some videos that came close, but didn’t quite eclipse the 500 views mark, so good job on getting the most views out of all the entries we received!

Our third winner, joewillburnsa, received his prize for simply being a participant. He submitted multiple entries, so if that was his strategy, then it certainly paid off =P Regardless of whether it was a strategy or not, every video response he submitted saw his lap time improving, which was really cool to see!

Just an FYI, to get the random winner, I assigned a number from 1-19 to each video response, then I went to random.org, entered the proper range and had the site generate a random number. Whichever number it landed it, the person it corresponded with was the winner.
