Need for Speed World Uninstall FAQ

Yesterday we announced the Need for Speed World Client Test and within that announcement we said that player's who have previous versions of NFS World will be required to remove / uninstall previous versions of Need for Speed World from your PC.  This is particularly important not only for this weekend's test but for all future betas.

Below is a quick walkthrough on a few different ways you can uninstall Need for Speed World:

Uninstalling NFS World using the Need for Speed World Uninstaller Program

1. Open the Windows Start Menu by clicking on the Start button or by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard
2. In the menu navigate to [Programs] --> [Electronic Arts] --> [NFS World]
3. Select 'Uninstall'
4. Select 'Yes' on the NFS World Uninstall confirmation dialogue window
5. At this point the NFS World uninstaller program will open and uninstall the game
6. When the game has been successfully uninstalled you will receive a confirmation pop-up window

7. Select 'OK'

Need for Speed World has been successfully removed from your PC.

Uninstalling NFS World using Windows Add / Remove Programs

1. Open the Windows Start Menu by clicking on the Start button or by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard
2. In the menu navigate to the Windows Control Panel
3. Select 'Add or Remove Programs'
4. After the programs list has been populated, highlight Need for Speed World and select 'Remove'
5. Select 'Yes' on the NFS World Uninstall confirmation dialogue window
6. At this point the NFS World uninstaller program will open and uninstall the game
7. When the game has been successfully uninstalled you will receive a confirmation pop-up window (see above)
8. Select 'OK'

Need for Speed World has been successfully removed from your PC.

Thoroughly Uninstalling Need for Speed World using Revo Uninstaller Pro

1. Download & Install Revo Uninstaller Pro (http://www.revouninstaller.com). Please note that this is a free program that our QA team uses when they need to uninstall / reinstall NFS World.
2. Open Revo Uninstaller
3. Highlight NFS World and select 'Uninstall' (or double-click on the NFS World icon)
4. At this point Revo Uninstaller will 'think' for a few moments than run the NFS World uninstaller program. See instructions above on how to run the NFS World Uninstaller program.  After the NFS World uninstaller has removed NFS World you will be returned to Revo Uninstaller. 
5. In Revo Uninstaller Pro, change the scanning mode to 'Advanced' and select 'Scan'
6. Once the scan is complete (takes a few minutes) the program will display 'Found Leftover Registry Items". Select 'Select All' to highlight all the registry items
7. Select the 'Delete' button
8. Select 'Yes' on the confirmation pop-up dialogue
9. After the registry items are removed, the program will display 'Found leftover files and folders'.
10. Select 'Select All' to select all the files / folders not removed by the NFS World uninstaller.
11. Select the 'Delete' button

After Revo Uninstaller Pro removes all the leftover files and folders it will automatically close, therefore all traces of NFS World has been removed from your system. Please note that I ran this program on my own PC and there were no side effects as a result of using Revo Uninstaller.

So those are three different ways of removing Need for Speed World from your PC.  Don't forget to remove all previous versions of NFS World from your PC before you participate in the test or future betas.
