Need for Speed World Beta Release Notes/Known Bugs

The next Need for Speed World beta begins tomorrow morning.  Below are the RELEASE NOTES and a list of KNOWN BUGS.  Please note that these notes are a summary of all the changes that went into both the new NFS World client and the updates for this beta.

RELEASE NOTES
- SpeedBoost - Items such as power-ups, rental cars, and progression amplifiers can now be acquired using SpeedBoost. All beta participants will receive a code redeemable on our website.
- Purchasing Flows - Click on the SpeedBoost symbol anywhere in the game to acquire items with SpeedBoost.
- Progression Amplifiers - Progression Amplifiers give an increase to Rep or in-game Tokens.
- Rental Cars - Tuned cars can be rented for a predetermined amount of time using SpeedBoost.
- Progression – Adjustments have been made to leveling milestones and event rewards.
- 15 More Driver Skills - Race, Pursuits and Exploration Driver Skills with multiple ranks spread over the new levels.
- Pursuit Milestones – Players will now be rewarded for breaking road rules during pursuits.
- Paint Specific Car Regions - The game now allows players to paint individual sections of the vehicle including, hood, doors, rear/front bumpers, spoilers and rims.
- More Vinyls - More vinyl slots have been added for more car visual customization possibilities.
- Player Profiles - Player Profile with Driver Skills, friend compare and profile statistics has been added to the Safehouse.
- News Gadget - This gadget displays updates on friends’ activities, your recent accomplishments and important system updates.
- 2-Way Friend Request System - Players now have the option to accept or decline proposed friend requests.
- Recent Players List - Drivers met in previous events will appear in a window within the player’s social gadget.
- Friends Rankings – Players can now compare each other’s results in the news gadget.
- Stats Tracking - View your career stats, your friend's or compare your own with your friends.
- My Motto - A personal quote can be added under the player’s persona name in the profile gadget.
- Facebook Connect – Facebook Connect is now available on our website allowing players to link their Need for Speed account to their Facebook account and login to our website using their Facebook login.
- Import Friends from Facebook – Users who have linked their account via Facebook Connect can import their Facebook friends into their in-game Friends List via the website. Only friends who have also linked their Facebook to their account will be selectable.
- Disconnection error messages.
- Improved Race & Traffic AI.
- Improved Sense of Speed.
 
KNOWN ISSUES
- As this is Beta Software, it is recommended to uninstall previous versions of the game before installing the latest game launcher.
- Sometimes there is a long delay loading into a Multiplayer race where the player is able to drive around in free roam.
- Occasionally the game will crash after crossing the finish line of a race after being disconnected from the server.
- Occasionally, the option to purchase Progression Amplifiers will not appear correctly in the post-race screen.
- When using Progression Amplifiers, the rep or cash rewards may display an incorrect value on the post-race screen, but will reward the correct amount.
- Player connections will sometimes timeout after readying, or running down the Lobby clock to 0:00.
- Players occasionally are not able to proceed into the Lobby, and will indefinitely search for Opponents.
- On rare occasions, saving changes to Vinyls will fail, or cause a disconnection, causing changes to be lost.
- Occasionally Friends/Friend Requests cannot be removed or accepted.
- Rarely, recent customizations will flicker or display incorrectly to other users.
- User's Online Presence may not be displayed correctly in the Recent Players List.
- Deleting a Driver Profile is currently unavailable and will result in an error.
- Hotkeys are currently unavailable while Caps Lock is turned on, or while the Shift key is pressed.
- Incorrect Driver name is displayed when using the Traffic Magnet power-up.
- Motto may be cut-off on some screens if it exceeds a certain length.
- Traffic Magnet power-up is not available once any player has crossed the finish line.
- Friends & News Gadget may impact client performance, and connectivity.
- Rarely, a player will receive 0 cash and/or rep after completing a multiplayer race during heavy server load.

- The German language option on the Launcher is currently non-functional

- Game will occasionally crash when browsing through cars in the car dealer screen

Again, lots of great new features added in this new client and we're very excited to get everyone's feedback after the beta ends.
