Need for Speed Soundtrack Announced!

We're only days away from The Run! While we're still rolling out the final car unveils, we wanted you to see what songs you'll be listening to as you speed across the United States. 

However, unlike previous Need for Speed titles, the soundtrack isn't a jukebox or radio that just plays songs as you go. 

The soundtrack reflects our main character Jack's experiences and races. It's an integral part of the story of the game.  The songs are seamlessly combined with a full score by Hollywood composer Brian Tyler ("Fast Five, Battle for Los Angeles") to create the ultimate Need for Speed music experience.  The soundtrack is strongly influenced by American regional styles, reflecting the San Francisco to New York race.

In other words, depending on where you are in the game, you'll hear different songs to match the location, intensity, and mood of The Run!

Probably those songs are good for cut-scenes and some other moments but definitely not for racing, especially in a Need for Speed game. They just don't fit here. For example, music like this youtube.com/watch?v=JD7g6ZT1U6I and this youtube.com/watch?v=pnXzMLf_Li0&NR=1 really does! NFS HP1, HS, HP2 have good menu music that really fits there...

That's good you've taken the idea of music that depends on gameplay situation. Now work on (real-time) self-composing music.

Put in some Linkin Park, Metallica, KoRn, Marilyn Manson, Trivium, Three Days Grace, Lil' Wayne, Avenged Sevenfold, Hollywood Undead, Disturbed, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Skrillex, Alice In Chains, Motorhead, Slipknot, As I Lay Diying, Chimaira, Lamb Of God, Nine Inch Nails, Three Inches Of Blood, My Chemical Romance (Teenagers), Guns N' Roses, Beethoven Moonlight Sonata, Eric Johnson, Iron Maiden, Deftones, Rise Against, Skillet, Rage Against The Machine, Chrispy (Roll Out), B 52, Ozzy Osborn, Twisted Sister, and The Scorpians. To conclude the game nicley, play Inhale byKillswitch Engage while the credits roll, then after, play Let It Die by Three Days Grace. After that song, play Snuff by Slipknot. What u want to do after that is fine aslong as it flows.
