Hot Pursuit PC Patch 2 Released

PC Patch 2 for Hot Pursuit is now available! Download it here (102 MB) or from our downloads page.

The following issues have been fixed in this patch:

- Flickering graphics after Alt-Tabbing out of the game and back.
- Controller configurations sometimes failing to save correctly.
- Steering response dead-zone when playing with steering wheel controllers.
- Player car engine audio volume too low.
- Some issues with CPU performance.
- Rare crash issue when entering the Career map screen.

The patch also contains 3 Free Cars!

- The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster and the Dodge Viper SRT10 Convertible Final Edition.

Note: After installing this patch you will only be able to play online against players who have also installed it. You will, however, continue to get Autolog updates from all other players regardless of which version they are using.

Can we please have the update through STEAM.
In my gaming community we have about 50% split of Disc and Steam owners, so the Steam users can't race with the updated Disc players.
Have downloaded the patch, but due to it not finding the Steam version it does not patch.

thanks for the patch improved the game abit but still have frame rate drops in certain parts of the game so hopefully if you do another patch please put the frame rate as a priorty issue because this game is amazing just wish you can fix this problem

I have downloaded the latest patch. Downloaded the newest drivers of my graphical card. Everything is up-to-date but the game still freezes when I'm playing for about 10 min and I have to restart my desktop.

Specs:
Ati Radeon HD4870, 4gb ram, core 2 duo e8400 @3.6Ghz, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.
The temperatures are not too high during the game..

isit possible for criterion to put a pop-up for those who have not updated to the latest patch once they launch the game? Cause the new patch is really lacking in the number of players.

My game runs better now, But still loosing framerates at certain times. At least I don't consider it completely unplayable as it was before.. It's a very fun game, but at the same time, it's flustrating because I can run NFS shift at full graphics with no lag at all. And the requirements for this game are lower than NFS Shift. I've upgraded everything I can, so this game should run smooth. It's gonna need more help from EA. I can't afford a $ 3000 computer.

Performance got better on my Core 2 Duo E6600 and GF8600GT, frame rate still drops but not as much as before.
Now i can't listen to audio stream anymore for some reason it sound stops while still playing, i need to quit the game and restart the stream to hear something again.

So good work for giving me engine sounds and 3 cars, ow btw when do we get some in-game music when waiting for other players coz the sample is starting to bore me, no i can't turn on my hi-fi system coz that's my computer that I use to play this GAME!!!!

With patch 1.0.1.0 the game ran fine for me on my 5870 gpu (Quad Core cpu), but now performance is crap!! From having steady 60fps, its now struggling to get to 60fps? Still the gpu usage is only at 40%?? WTH?? Are you guys testing these patches, or do you just release them in beta form??
