Drift racers face off on SHIFT Saturday

At the Formula D Round 7 Championship in Irwindale, California this Saturday (Oct. 17), your favorite Formula D drivers will compete to see who can post the best lap in the Royal Purple Need for Speed SHIFT Time Attack Challenge. Qualifying starts Thursday, October 15 at the Need for Speed booth at Irwindale Speedway with the final race October 17. The qualifying race will be run on Brands Hatch Indy. During halftime between the Top 32 and Top 16 competition, the top three drivers will race their Maserati MC12 down Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Time Attack hot lap challenge in front of a live audience, with the winner taking home $5,000 courtesy of Royal Purple.
