Have you been curious how or why the cars in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit were chosen? In this video, designer at Criterion Games Matt Follett explains his love for some of the cars in the game. Matt also happens to be one of the best drivers Criterion has, so he also sprinkles in some tips on how to improve your drifting and overall skills :)
Enjoy!

oh the dissapoinment, so much potential, but the deisre to make it modyrn and casual, and for kids, has made it a terrible game!
great presentation. but the gameplay? awfull. its just stupid. Drifting? WEAPONS, NITRO! excuse me, this is hot pursuit, not blur!
yes i know. "Dis is 2010", "shut up ya old faggot you from da sukky 80's so u ai got da ryte to speak!", "yo us kydz lik diz 111". but its not the way NFS should be going... if that is EAs target market no WONDER its games have been disasters..
the presentation as i said is near perfect. if far to online freindly. but the driving mechanics are a total disaster.
so, heres a little bit of advice. i see Bizzare Creations are Up for sale, i suggest buying them. the old PGR games had wonderfull gameplay that mixed simulation and arcade in just the right amount to appeal to both markets, just like the earlier NFS titles.
stop appealing to arrogant 13 year olds who think spelling with a z gives them the right to rule the forums. NFS does not need nitro, drifting, takedowns, or weapons. youve made some fantastic decisions in getting rid of the storys, tuning and citys, all things that ruined NFS, and i hope to NEVER see them again, but by going so casual, you are just repeating the "dumbing down for the 12 year olds" mistake of the black box titles, but in a different way.
leave that kind of moronic casualness to Activision
if you want to be recognised again as the company you were back in the 90s, you need to use 90s style gameplay, by using 2010 casual style, you will forever be seen as sub activision sheep to scared of pissing off a few lulzers to make a game with even half way near DECENT gameplay.
is that the fate yoyu want for yourselfs or need for speed?i doubt it.
