Car of the Day: Audi S3

 Similar to the Volkswagen Golf R32, the Audi S3 is a two-door (but also available in a 4-door) hot hatch with a lightning-quick 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that burns up the road with a surprising 261 horsepower. But you can’t get one in North America.     Like all other ‘S’ models, the S3 has Quattro four-wheel drive but under the hood it also has a larger turbo and intercooler as well as high-performance pistons pushing the engine harder than any other ‘S’ compact before it.   The end result is a car that runs 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph. Take the S3 for a spin in SHIFT and see what this side of the Atlantic is missing out on.
