With the SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED racing game soon to be on the shelves around the world, it's time to get some healthy competition going. We are extremely excited to announce the SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED Autolog Challenge! We said that we were going to start off with a bang and that's a promise we're going to deliver on. For the past couple of weeks, we've been posting Autolog Challenge videos featuring 2010 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. & Team Need for Speed driver Matt Powers, American Le Mans driver Tommy Milner and legendary drifter (also Team Need for Speed driver) Darren McNamara. If you paid close attention to these videos, you may have noticed that we've been putting in hints of the Autolog Challenge.
Now it's time to get this challenge going. Starting Monday, April 4th, we'll be posting times and drift scores set by Team Need for Speed drivers on the Need for Speed Facebook page:
- On April 4th, we'll post Tommy Milner's time on Brands Hatch
- On April 11th, we'll post Vaughn Gittin Jr's drift score
- On April 18th, we'll post Tommy Milner's lap time on Laguna Seca
Your challenge will be to beat these times and/or scores, and anyone who enters has a chance to win some really nice prizes provided by Astro Gaming and SHIFT 2 Unleashed. To enter, take a picture of the post-race screen in SHIFT 2 Unleashed, showing that you beat the time / score, and twitpic it to @NeedforSpeed with the hash tag #SHIFT2_AutologChallenge. Make sure your user name and time/score are clearly visible.
Stay tuned for more information about the Autolog Challenge and get practicing because it all begins on Monday, April 4th!

over the years need for speed has developed as one of the best raving games ever. need for speed had ideas inspired by previous editions they have an ligitamate effect on the plat form of other racing simulations. yeah it might have had some bugs such as polyganal 3d rendering (shallow 3d animation) but it has been the winner of all the corresponding games and their franchises and they work so hard to reduce the amount of glitches in our experience in the genre of racing. what do we know do any of u love another car racing game than need for speed TM. then u all have to give the developers a little credit for what they have done over the years and nfs may be the future of racing games.

Its time you guys give us what we wanted. I love UNDERGROUND 1 and 2, MOST WANTED needs a sequel to it so does UNDERCOVER and improve the mechanics on it. Then you think we all forget that UNDERGROUND 2 was not finish after we beat the game there should be a sequel to it. SHIFT One and Two is alright, but not my style that is why i never buy it, For the others they really suck suck suck. I am looking at RUN but i am not too sure about it, what i really need to see is UNDERGROUND 3 with that story mode but take it out of the COMIC ERA, we need MOST WANTED 2 i know Sgt Cross a'int finish with us, we need to see whats up in UNDERCOVER 2 as well. there we go make those a reality, i also miss the original computer versions, so much fun back then

ok iv read some of the comments some i can agree with such as pro street was horrible sorry but it was and i wish there would be some street racing. But what alot of people are not realizing is that when need for speed first started it wasnt street racing as we now it today but it was fast cars doing jobs delivering packages places and avoiding the cops. i dont remember if you could add after market parts to the cars or not. the one thing that i think forza has over you that i would like to see is the auction house its a sweet thing if you think about it. the horse power is realistic if any one knows anything about cars in the real world you can make a street supra with a thousand hp.
so sweet game just add a few things in and maybe a better array of cars
thanks for the hard work

I think that this entire statement is absolutely wrong. I have loved every game that has come from the Need For Speed genre minus, undercover. Need for speed Shift was one of my favorite simulation racers and Shift 2 unleashed has brought even more of that realism into there new title. I've been a fan of Forza and Need For Speed but I believe that the realism of this game is enough to compete with Gran Turismo and Forza while still keeping enough of there own style to not feel like a simulation only game. In my opinion This mix between simulation and arcade are perfect. You guys have the racing genre on lock. Keep up the amazing graphics, realism and quality, as well as variety in your racing games and you'll continue to own. Thanks ea for the amazing games.

you need to remove some of the performance parts. You need to match your race class..otherwise it wont let race.

i agrre the nfs should stick to the roots of street racing but keep cockpit view and have force feed back on the wheel with real life time zone so we can have the whole feel of the game and i also like dodging traffic too and add the pink slip racing like they had in highstakes
