Today is the first day of the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and NFS World is there!  Our very own Melvin Teo, NFS World Designer, is down there showing the game to everyone who wants to check it out.

If you're lucky enough to be at CES stop by the Dolby Definition Lounge and take some time to chat with Melvin or just play NFS World.

When do you ever plan on making multiplayer racing fair for everyone not just people who go unbelievable fast and superhuman strong when the people they are racing dont have a chance

So he designed the game ... and his masterpiece has NO CREATIVITY, NO NEW, No cool ideeas just a bit of retex.
If i'd be there ...

I'm honestly amazed that you are showing off this game, with the amount of bugs that are horridly visible when playing it. I would be shocked if it got any awards because of this. This issues that players have repeatedly reported, have not been fixed in months, and most of these same players have moved on to others games, and may never return even if you fix them. The lack of support for this game has left a bad taste in a lot of players mouths.

I myself will keep an eye out on the news to see if the bugs get fixed, and GM's add in the game to ban, block, and/or kick cheaters from the servers. If that happens, I may return.

Really hard to believe that the game in it's current state is being shown.
Is this the "works good enough, makes a lot of money presentation"?

Was it Melvin that designed the control panel for your database that allows you to remove the ability for us gamers to win any decent reward cards such as magnets, shields, catch ups etc and make sure that any nitrous reward cards won are now usually just 1 nitrous shot. And doing that just before christmas too, thanks for that present.

Excuse me for being a bit cynical but it's not surprising that I am when you crow on about christmas decorations being sprinkled all over 'The World' and other new features, only to completely avoid mentioning what really is a major issue which changes the games parameters heavily in favour of anyone who buys their way to their success in the game. The ability to win the said cards has been removed completely for several weeks now.

Another feature which seems to be regularly mentioned in these forums, but studiously avoided by the staff and designers is the isue of 'police presence' in the game. It has now become about as bad as it can get. Police cars appear for just long enough for you to try and race towards them to ram and instigate a chase, then disappear before you actually reach them. I've had sessions where I have had to do dozens of 360 degree turns when the police car in fron has disappeared seconds before impact, only for another one to appear behind me at some distance, then... yes you've guessed it... on reaching that car it disappears just before impact too. This leads to members driving round in circles for ages, until they close down the game in disgust and find something more interesting to do, such as defragmenting their hard drive, which is ultimately more rewarding than trying to start a police chase in this game!!!

I really have been an ardent fan of the game from day 1. But thats why I feel slightly shafted to find that every time changes are made it seems to be to the detriment of the game or gamer. The last update gave us yet another problem with race starts. Often by the time my race start has counted down to 'go' several other cars have already been allowed to start, giving them a lead that can't be made up during the race, other times the countdown is either so fast as to be impossible to be ready, or countdown starts on 1, meaning you can't get the revs to the 'perfect start' point and gain any boost. This has only happened since the last update, and previous to that all the race starts were impeccable in their fairness throughout all the previous updates and upgrades.

Congratulations on a fantastic game Melvin, but it's being slowly manipulated and changed into a second rate, unreliable and predictable game. If I could click my fingers and reverse the so called improvements I would take it back to version 4 and leave it there, when we all knew what we were racing for and trying to achieve, instead of the game we now have which seems to become pointless and repetitive with no sense of purpose after you reach levels 40 onwards.

Dusty.

I'm hope people will see how many bugs is in this game and then Dev will do sth with it, fast.
