We've been pretty tight-lipped about the online multiplayer features that you'll see in Need for Speed The Run, but now that it launches in less than two weeks it’s time to put the cards on the table.  Check out the new Need for Speed The Run Multiplayer trailer!

When the development team set out to implement online multiplayer in The Run they wanted to create a system where players could easily get together and race.  Plain and simple.  All you need to do to get into an online race is select a Playlist, find some opponents (always best if it's with Friends), select your car, and start racing.  Even if you're late to the party you can still get into a race very quickly with the new "Join Race in Progress" feature.  No more waiting for your friends to finish their race; just join and you'll be on the road in seconds.

There is a lot more to online multiplayer in The Run so we're going to be posting up a game designer interview on Saturday where we talk all about the online and we'll give you all a lot more specific information.  Stay tuned...

Well this is my review on the mutiplayer on the run. well im at level 30 allready and completed all in mutiplayer well the only things that need to be fixed so the game be the best mutiplayer racing game is that the loading is too slow, the lag is little bad and well the wall ride is not good some player manage to wall ride and pass u but.... if u r a real racer wall ride dont wrk i have prove it and keep proving it everyday the graphics are awsome no doubt but can u guys fix the bump a little is true what crasher563 say newbies bump u and u fly away even if is a little bit make the car on collisions a bit more hard like hot pursuit and the traffic please make it like hot pursuit that they r not flying like dominoes all over the road like they have soap on their tires ohh and i found out that the traffic itself can actually go against you lol a semi truck just went and turn on a straight away and just bump me for no reason lol well its kool from the racers but traffic come on i think thats little too much lol but anyway i race everyday online on 360 and so far one of the best drivers lol ima youtube myself so most of you guys planing on getting it know how it is the mutiplayer game is addicting and i cant stop playing lol so far im mr stolen base lol love the way the sessions are why ?? because now is everybodys game and race anyone can be on first and then one screw up u r in the middle of the pack lol thats kool but hey if it happends to you dont get mad is part of a race i always say it even when i use to play hot pursuit bumping is fun but will not get u to the finish line first keep that in mind this game is for clean racers dirty racers well thats up to u to do ur game but for me clean means victory!!!!!!!!!!

EA why do you guys try your best to avoid split screen and make wii versions SUCK!!!!(might as well not make them, they're so bad)

Is there going to be multiplayer offline? One of the worst things in need for speed shift was that there is no multiplayer offline..... thats the best thing of a racing game, being able to play offline with ur friends and then being able to brag in their face.... it sucks if it only has online multiplayer

no split screen unless wii version, which is so bad I don't know why they even made it!!!

Looks good but i think its gonna be terrible in multiplayer, everyone is gonna ram each other and its gonna lag the fuck so that it becomes like nfsw multiplayer. Everyone there has atleast 300 latency and if they hit you, you will be flying accros the map and be pushed into a got damn wall.

There should be a multiplayer game mode were cars wont collide, like in nfsw free roam, so that noobs wont be able to ram just cause they suck.

PS. Carrer and challenge series is gonna own though! :D

....I didn't see any splitscreen here. Maybe this was to highlight the online play rather than local play....hopefully?

OMJ,Finally!!!!No more spending 10 minutes parked sulkily while everyone else has a blast because you joined 1.348 seconds into the race (Sadly, true story)
