So, I have an idea for a game mode. Now, I know that everybody and their dog has an idea for a game-mode, but I think that this should work within the mechanics of the NFS-verse.
It's CTF, but with a variation: The "flag" is an NPC car which, in this case, will travel the game-map, waiting to be "captured" by opposing teams of cops and racers. The caveat is that the car's location is only shown by a circle on the mini-map that is, say, 3 or 4 city blocks in diameter. This forces the players to scout the location of the "flag", while fighting off the opposing team. The teams, then, are split into 4 (or more) archetypes: Scouts, Speedters, Agiles, and Brutes, with their skills corresponding to their names. Scouts will be able to pin down the precise location on the mini-map, "pinging" it for visibility by the other players. Speedsters and Agiles are good at outrunning and dodging the other team, but aren't necessarily very strong in their own right. Brutes, while not very fast or maneuverable, pack a considerable punch and can beat off attempts to capture the "flag" by enemy teams. If there are powerups to be included in gameplay, other archetypes could be added: The weaponmaster, who could stash large amounts of offensive powerups, but would have to channel them to other members of the team, or something, to be useful, and the Barrier, who could create defensive shields for himself or the team to repel counter-capture attempts by the other team, but that is his only ability--therefore, alone, he is vulnerable.
After the car "flag" is captured, gameplay would proceed something like this: approaching the vicinity of the car, it would change color (or some other indicator) and then begin to follow you, but being a "civilian" car that's not souped up, would have a lower set of specs than any of the player cars, thus allowing attempts at counter-capture by the other team. When other members of the same team approach the car, they have the option of "linking up" with the "flag" car and their teammates, thus forming a "rolling roadblock" of sorts that is less agile than any car would be on its own, but -much- more resistant to counter-capture, and would also enable team powerups, that could only be used by multiple players pooling their resources. When each team got the "flag" back to their respective base, the hunt is on for a new "flag." There could even be a (limited) backstory to this: The racers are trying to capture cars to tune up and add to their ranks, and the police are trying to crack down on the theft. What's everybody think?

Sounds like an AWESOME idea to me......! Most Wanted needs something different and I would even pay a little cash for an ADD ON like this! Genius Idea Dude!
