What is Most Wanted?

In Need for Speed: Most Wanted, you’ll need to outrun the cops, outdrive friends, and outsmart your rivals. With a relentless police force gunning to take you down, you’ll need to make split second decisions and use the open world to your advantage. Find jack spots in the open world and discover new vehicles to keep you one step ahead.
Is Most Wanted a remake or a sequel? How similar will it be to the original?

It's a reimagination. Criterion wanted to take their (and the fans!) favorite game and focus on the premise of "being Most Wanted" with an emphasis on beating your friends.
What engine will the game use?

The game uses an updated Chameleon Engine from Hot Pursuit
What platforms will Most Wanted be available on?

The game will launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PlayStation Vita, iOS and Android.
Is there a single player campaign mode in Most Wanted?

Yes! You are Most Wanted and 10 other Most Wanted drivers are trying to take your title. As you roam the city, they'll hunt you down and challenge you!
Will this game be set in an open world like the original Most Wanted and how will it be different?

Is the complete game world unlocked from the start of the game?

Yes, what happens next is up to you. Play alone, play with friends, play Autolog Recommendations, or just cause mayhem!
What are Speed Points?

Speed Points (SP) are the rewards that you earn for everything that you do in the game. They determine which position you are on the Most Wanted list. Earn them by taking down rivals, catching huge air, drifting, crashing through billboards and more!
How many players will Most Wanted support?

PC will support up to 12 players. XBOX360/PS3: The game will support up to 8 players. Vita: The game will support up to 8 players.
What is the multiplayer experience like in Most Wanted?

It's nonstop multiplayer action (no lobbies!) that continually will be serving up rewards and challenges to take on your friends. For more info, check out the blog (Link to blog feature)
Will Most Wanted support split screen functionality?

There will be no split-screen multiplayer in Most Wanted, but you'll be able to track your friends progress through Autolog and challenge them that way!
Can you tell us more about custom rollouts and how are they important to the multiplayer experience?

Most Wanted will have performance upgrades and how you personalize your roll out is up to you. Create a heavy duty car with a reinforced chassis to create the ultimate take down vehicle, or add an aero package and nitrous to be a speed demon. There are tons of possibilities!
What are the multiplayer modes?

SpeedTests, Races, Team Races, Freeburn Challenges and quite a few more! We'll have more info on them soon.
Will there be head to head multiplayer game play cross-platform?

There currently isn't the ability to play head-to-head cross-platform, but your Speed Points will be tracked cross-platform, so you can compare yourself to friends on other consoles!
What is Autolog?

How is the open world connected to Autolog?

Autolog powers the player’s way to the top of their Most Wanted list – automatically populating the map with challenges, helping locate Friends in-game, and tracking progress and accomplishments throughout. For a more info, check out our Autolog feature blog.
How is Autolog different in Most Wanted?

Autolog is no longer just single player, it extends across all game modes! As you explore the world, your friends records will be called out in places they've set records hitting jumps, blasting through speed cameras etc… If you want more info, we have a full Autolog feature blog here.
Will cars get damaged in Most Wanted?

Not only do cars get crushed, but for the first time in a Need for Speed game, they get dirty from just driving around (you can wash them off too!). Get ready to see some epic damage!
How many cars are in the game?

There will be cars from the following 6 classes: Muscle, SUV, Sports, Grand Tourer, Track and Sedans , but we haven't announced a total number yet. You can see the first screenshots of the cars here.
Since NFS Underground, customization has been a key component of the franchise. How does it work in Most Wanted?

You can mod your car with a variety of performance mods, including the tires, chassis, body, nitrous and more!
What is EasyDrive?

The EasyDrive menu is a shortcut for modding your car, starting races, or checking Autolog. Frequently check it for updates on your progress and different unlocks you've achieved.

Why Is Autolog Not Working In The Demo? How Do I Transfer My Speed Points?

The demo is no longer being supported. If you loved playing the demo, you can get it here: http://www.needforspeed.com/buy.
Your Speed Points will be automatically transferred when you purchase Need For Speed Most Wanted and register your game with the same Origin ID that you used to play the demo.
