Need for Speed Week in Review – September 16

September 16, 2011

Sé El Primero En Comentar!

Another week down, another week closer to Need For Speed The Run!

Speaking of The Run, this week we took the lid off of the Lotus Exige Cup 260, which looks absolutely stunning. Super lightweight, and the power to rocket you from San Francisco to New York, the Lotus’ bite is just as vicious as its bark.

We also highlighted our Underground Challenge Series, featuring some our fans favorite cars. If you like Need For Speed Underground, click here.

Should you see us reveal a new car, keep your eyes peeled around your city for that exact car because we’re constantly holding scavenger hunts! If you can find that car, snap a picture and tweet it to us, or reply on Facebook to win some swag from our closet.

If you’re interested to see who’s going to be hunting you down in The Run, feel free to check out one of the cop cars that will hot on your tail.

In the world of car debates, we wanted to know which you preferred, modern or classic? The Dodge Challenger of yesteryear and the new SRT-8 were put head-to-head on our Facebook page for you guys to decide which was better.

If you haven’t heard of Burnout Crash! it’s time you start paying attention. The game is a ridiculous amount of fun, especially in a group. It comes out next Tuesday, but you can see some of the environments and game modes now. Take some time on Tuesday to check it out; you will definitely get some good laughs with your friends.

Team Need For Speed was at ProDrift over the weekend, where Fredric Aasbo continued to light it up. A solid run earned him a second place finish on the podium, and there’s a sweet photo album on Facebook you can look at.

Speaking of sweet, take a look at the making of the Mustang RTR-X video. It. Is. Awesome.

Need For Speed World continues to grow! This week the incredible Aston Martin V12 Vantage arrives in the game, along with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Art Director car.

Finally, we’ve launched another photo contest for Hot Pursuit. The theme is “Battle! Battle! Battle!” so interpret that however you want! You guys have been submitting some great photos, but we want to see more!

Lastly, another edition of the Need for Speed Podcast is available. The 97th episode is on iTunes, our RSS feed, and can be streamed from here.
