History in the Making: FIA GT3 Round 2 @ Silverstone

Team Need for Speed Schubert Motorsport returns for Round 2 of the 2011 FIA GT3 Season at Silverstone this weekend (4th-5th June). It’s a truly historic occasion as we will be one of a few select teams to race at the new Silverstone circuit starting in front of the amazing new ‘Silverstone Wing’. A photo of the new 'Wing' is at the bottom of this article.   

After Race 1 in Portimao (Portugal), Team Need for Speed are riding high in the GT3 championship holding 4 out of the top 6 positions in the Driver’s championship and 1st place in the constructors championship. Running in two extremely competitive GT3 BMW Z4s, we are one of the favourites to take the chequered flag at Silverstone. 

It’s the perfect opportunity for our British and worldwide fans to come and support Team Need For Speed up close and personal and experience one of the most intense and visceral motorsport racing events in the world.
