Need for Speed: ProStreet was released in 2007 and was a return to the simulation-style track racing that won fans over thirteen years earlier with The Need for Speed. In ProStreet, you take the wheel as Ryan Cooper -- a reformed illegal street racer getting his first taste of legitimate racing. Ryan is the silent type, never taking his helmet off and never saying a word during the game, leaving you to speak for him on the track.A full damage model, revamped physics, and more than 70 cars available helped make this the most realistic racing game that the Need for Speed series had seen. Tuning and customization played a big part, with Autosculpt taking a larger role in the performance of your vehicles, even helping (or hurting, depending on how you applied it) the aerodynamics of your car.Tracks were also improved, with 12 in total, including the legendary Autobahn, Willow Springs Raceway and Ebisu Circuit. Some additional custom tracks, like the Nevada Desert added hours to the challenge of completing ProStreet.
