Need for Speed World is a massively multiplayer online action driving game for the PC, where you can race with your friends or compete against them and thousands of other players in a seamless open world. Race in a variety of game modes (including cop pursuits), customize vehicles from a constantly growing catalogue, and fully tailor your gameplay experience.

Patch 1.02 includes five new cars (Toyota Supra Mk IV, 1967 Shelby GT500, 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, 1969 Dodge Charger R/T and the 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T). There is a new game mode called Team Racing which pits Team Red vs Team Blue in an intense battle for track domination. The maximum number of racers in an online game is increased from 8 to 12.

This patch adds two new features:
- LAN (Local Area Network) play, enhancing the multiplayer experience
- Mouse Support, providing full menu navigation through the game using your PC mouse

Download the new Challenge Mode and compete in 60 new unique events spread across ten game modes, including favourites such as Sprint, Outrun, Circuit, and some new one such as Highway Wars and Highway Checkpoint. Challenge Mode gives you the chance to win and race three new Reward Cars particularly the Battle Machine from Pro Street. These Reward Cars can be used online or offline so are great for showing just how good you are at Undercover.

This patch addresses performance issues and frame-rate inconsistencies. Other fixes include a range of logic improvement and code optimizations. The various enhancements to the difficulty logic will accelerate the difficulty curve for expert players.

This patch includes two new tracks (Certified Test Track at Porsche Leipzig and Japan's Tokyo Expressway), two new Racedays, and new cars including the 2007 SEAT Leon Cupra and the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Also included is 8-player LAN support.

Test out the BMW M3 E92 and the Nissan GT-R Proto in two events: Speed Challenge on the Nevada Highway and the Grip Challenge on the A-43 interloop.
