Patrick has been racing cars at an amateur level for over six years now. Previously a professional volleyball player, his foray into racing began innocently enough when his wife gave him a race drivers licensing course as a gift because she thought he needed something else to do. His second day in the course, he bought a 1997 BMW Z3 that had been converted into a race car. A further three weeks later, he entered himself into his first race -- a long distance endurance race for beginners on a small track in Sweden -- and has been racing ever since.
