Ever wonder how Need for Speed takes the most beautiful cars in the world and puts them into the game?
Vehicle Art Director, Carl Jarret, and Vehicle Styling Director, Andy Blackmore, have written a full article on how cars in the real-world are implemented into The Run, using the Lamborghini Aventador as an example. It's a completely behind-the-scenes look at wireframes, polygons, and other details that all go into making the cars look as realistic as possible when you drive them. Not only that, but it discusses their influences for creating body kits and graphics!
You can read the full article on Speedhunters.

Formula Drift star Vaughn Gittin Jr. had a collection of Mustangs on-hand for Hot Rod when they came to interview him. Arguably, the favorite is the Team Need for Speed Mustang RTR-X, which is absolutely stunning. It's amazing to see this one-off custom ride finally tearing around the track and use up plenty of tires in the process!
Not only that, but should you want to drive it yourself, both the Mustang RTR and the RTR-X are in Need for Speed The Run. Now turn up the volume and enjoy!

Today our Need For Speed Facebook page went over 4 million fans!
We couldn't be more thankful to all of our fans, and we love talking Need For Speed with you on a daily basis. We love our games just as much as you guys and it's humbling to know that so many people enjoy them!
As a small token of our appreciation, we spent the day trying to say thank you in our own way:
First, we put out a Need For Speed World code that's good for 1,000 Speedboost! It's a global code that anyone can redeem before October 15th.
We also released a new Behind the Scenes trailer of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Irina Shayk and Chrissy Teigan, doing their motion-capture for The Run.
At the end of the day, we gave out two exclusive wallpapers from the On The Edge trailer and the Sports Illustrated models!
Again, we are so thankful for all of our fans and love talking with you everyday!

Four cars made their introduction to Need For Speed The Run this week.
We kicked it off with the incredible Porsche 918 RSR, a 700+hp hybrid race car. The 918 is absolutely gorgeous and will feature some iconic liveries from the classic 917.
Following that German masterpiece, is one from the other side of the world, different in nearly every way. The Mazda RX-7 RZ was only available in Japan, but anyone can use it to race for their life in The Run.
To end the week, we took a look at two classics, the Audi quattro 20 V, and the Chevrolet El Camino SS. The Audi is one of the best known rally cars in history, and the first to turbocharge a four-wheel-drive.
The El Camino SS has a monster 454 V8 under it's hood, making it a defnite "sleeper" in the cross-country race. If you're looking for something unexpected, look no further than this Chevy.

This week just flew by – in case you missed anything, we got your covered on everything Need for Speed!
In BIG news this week, we announced the Need for Speed The Run demo will be available for download on XBLA and PSN as of October 18th. With the demo, you'll have a chance to prepare for the race of your life in a Lamborghini LP550-2 Valentino Balboni on the famed Desert Hills and Independence Pass. As a special bonus, if you add a friend to the Autolog Speedwall, you’ll unlock the new 2012 Porsche Carrera S.
Voting for the Hot Pursuit Photo Mode: Battle! Battle! Battle! Challenge kicked off this week. Since we had an overwhelming amount of entries, we split the photos into 7 seperate Facebook albums that we populated over 7 days. Vote for the best interpretation of a ‘Battle’ by liking it. It's that easy!
In Burnout CRASH! the Devs are challenging you all to beat their high scores in Rush Hour mode. If you need some pointers, be sure to check out the Rush Hour mode tutorial.
Speaking of crashes...we released another Need for Speed The Run trailer: On The Edge – this time Jack finds himself on the Million Dollar Highway with nothing in his way of the 25 million dollar prize...except for steep cliffs, narrow lanes, lack of guardrails and other racers!
After weeks of voting and anticipation, we announced the winning artist of "Who Will Rock the Run" whose song will be featured in Need for Speed The Run. MonstrO with their song “Solar” triumphed with the highest amount of votes.
Need for Speed World revealed not one, not two, but three cars this week: the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette, the Porsche Cayman Shift, and the Lotus Evora. All of which are available for purchase from the Car Dealer. Another Community Spotlight was posted this week featuring the lovely Ksenia Artyomova who is an influential NFSWorld member that creates amazing art!
Lastly, we’re saving the Need for Speed Podcast for Monday – as it is the 100th episode, we have something special planned for everyone! Stay tuned ;)
